Mathematics

Reading Programs
Math program:
This is our most popular enrollment subject at every level from early elementary through high school, college and post-graduate work. We hand select a tutor for each student based on their learning / personality style, needs and goals. Our tutors work to fill in foundational gaps, understand current concepts, and move ahead in the curriculum. Whether a struggling student is looking for a boost, or a high-performing student is looking to push for greater results. In order to reach the goals set out at the time of enrollment, we highly recommend that math students attend three sessions per week.
Reading program:

All of our English and Language Arts tutoring is completely personalized and designed to meet the student’s specific needs. And whenever possible, we use the student’s own curriculum to maximize the efficiency of the student’s learning.
Beyond the immediate objective of helping the student with the material that’s unclear, we use those challenges to identify and fill in the foundational understanding that’s missing and impeding the student’s understanding and confidence.
Our free, no-obligation consultation allows us to learn about the student’s specific situation and to identify a tutor who will be a great match for the student’s academic needs as well as a wonderful match from a "chemistry" or personality standpoint. We are all about matching students with tutors who will maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of their learning.

Study skills help:
Does your child ever complain of low test scores even though he had studied hard? Does your child swear she did the assignment but then just forgot to submit it? Has your child ever kept the newest report card from you?
Why do capable students get poor grades? Procrastination and disorganization are largely responsible. Add self-defeating attitudes and a lack of study "tools," and the outcome is quite predictable: grades that do not reflect your child's real ability and intelligence. Discouragement leads to a downward cycle of ever-worsening performance.
Don't wait until your child's self-esteem and motivation have plummeted. Don't wait until poor grades have limited your child's college options. As their studies become more and more complex, the methods they used in 7th grade are not going to cut it. Get your child the help he or she needs NOW.
