Is South Bay Tutoring open year-round?

Yes! South Bay Tutoring is open year-round. We don't change any schedule or we are not closing during summer time. Our students attending South Bay Tutoring during Winter break or Summer break to catch up any skill gaps they may have or getting ahead of their grades. The most successful students are those that continue attending during their breaks so that they start off ahead of their grades rather than forgetting what they learned in the previous grade. We keep the same schedule year-round.

How important is it to continue enrollment over the summer months? What about vacations?

Summer time is the best time to catch up any skill gaps students have or getting ahead of their grades in school. Our experience proves that students who continue their sessions during the summer improve at a much faster rate than those who withdraw for summer vacation. We have compared students who stay and students who leave for the summer and have concluded that a leave of absence during the summer has a negative impact on your child's progress. If you need to take a week or two break for a vacation, we will definitely work around your schedule.

Why is ONE-To-ONE instruction more effective than small group instruction?

Experience proves that ONE-to-ONE instruction is a lot more efficient and rapidly increases academic skills. In ONE-to-ONE instruction, there is a lot of privacy between student and instructor, and student would ask any questions with no concern or limitation.

Why is my child having difficulty in school or is not reaching her/his potential? We've tried everything!

Different children have different reasons. To find out and have a better idea we recommend our free consultation. Some children have difficulty in school because their academic skills are not at the level that they should be. Other children may have problems with concentration, confidence, study habits, motivation, or general test-taking skills. After free consultant, and free Diagnostic Assessment we provide the best possible program for your child to help her/him achieve long-term academic success.

Can you help my child if he has ADD, ADHD, or other concentration problems?

Our system is one of the best after school programs for students who are struggling with ADD, ADHD, or Dyslexia.  Our unique Method of Variety helps students learn easier and improve their academic skills, while increasing their concentration. Our classrooms are fun, enjoyable, and stress free, where students learn lots of material without getting bored or tired.

What's the difference between South Bay Tutoring and tutoring offered by my child's school?

Experience proves that ONE-to-ONE instruction with privacy between student and instructor, gives your child far more structured guidance than they will ever receive in a classroom full of children, in a small group, or even one-to-one at home. Many schools provide after-school tutoring for students that are having difficulty in school. Even though these programs are free to families, experiences show that these programs can be inefficient and time consuming.
